Canford Heath Neighbourhood Watch

Everyone knows that the police are there to fight crime, but they cannot work on their own. They need the help and support of the community. The local residents are the ‘Eyes and Ears’ of the community. Neighbourhood Watch is about local people working in an active partnership with the police, and other agencies, to reduce crime and make the area where they live in a safer and more pleasant place for everyone. As well as crime prevention and safety issues Canford Heath Neighbourhood Watch also works within the community to help the elderly and vulnerable. You can now join FREE of charge.

New PCSO for Canford Heath

Leasha will be the new Police Community Support Officer for the area of Canford Heath.    She looks forward to meeting everyone in the area and working with the community. Please feel free to stop her for a chat.

Do it online:

  • On line you can make general enquiries, report crime or incidents that are not urgent. You can also request a call back and leave a message for an officer (it may be quicker and easier than calling 101)

Ask NED:

  • Ask NED is a non- emergency directory offering advice and information on topics that are often reported. You can also find contact details of those who can help. It could answer your questions without you needing to call101.

101 or 999

  • If you wish to speak to someone, call 101 which is the non-emergency number. It is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Calls are prioritised bases on urgency, so there may be a delay in answering.
  • Remember if a crime is in progress or there is a danger to life always dial 999

If you are hard of hearing, or have a speech impairment you can use the Emergency Only SMS text service 80999. Text ‘register’ to 80999, or register on line at www.emergencysms.net

Textphone emergency: 18000

Textphone non- emergency: 18001101

SMS text non-emergency: 67101
