ARCH has an ongoing programme of interesting and lively fundraising events in order to raised much needed funds for our projects and events.

As well as being great social events they are also an opportunity to raise awareness for ARCH and funds for whatever project or event we are currently working towards.

These events take place in various locations around the heath.  Just some of the previous fundraising initiatives have been quizzes in Lounge One, the Community Centre and the Pilot Pub;  Fairs at the Scout Hall and the Community Centre and a Music Concert at St Pauls’ Church.

This all really started with  the Canford Heath Fest in 2019  which enabled us to fund the Christmas Lights Switch-on event in Adastral Square Dec 2019

We were also able to put £750 of the profits made at the FEST into the ARCH Treasure Chest  so we could make small awards to local individuals and groups.

As well as our own fundraising efforts, we also make requests to local sponsors to help make the events a success such as sponsorship of the Christmas Tree Adastral Square .

In addition, we also make applications to external funds.

To date we have secured £22,000 across 2 CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy)  funding bids from Poole Council as well as obtaining £3000 National Lottery funds across two separate “Awards for All” grants.

See our past Projects and past Events pages to see how these funds have been spent.
