Light Up Canford Heath
Community Christmas lights switch on 3rd December
ARCH have again organised events for all the residents’ on Canford Heath to take part in.
Neighbourhood Centre switch on 5pm.
Many of you came to see the walkway of fairy lights in the trees on the path between the car parks. – Santa’s Helper was there to collect letters for Santa and then lead the children, accompanied by a parent/carer, on a torch lit procession to Adastral Square.
Adastral Square switch on 6 pm.
Again, you came in your hundreds to listen to carols, to be offered free hot chocolate and mince pies provided by Hattie and her team from Lounge One and perhaps take some refreshment from Lisa’s converted shephards hut that was located at the front of The Pilot – and of course to see the Christmas tree and the established trees festooned with fairy lights.

Light up Canford Heath Competition 1st – 20th December
ARCH would like the whole of Canford Heath to get involved in the festive spirit. Residents are encouraged to light up their homes with festive decorations and post photo’s on Facebook: @lightupcanfordheathcompetition
There will be two prizes of Christmas hampers presented by the mayor to the two houses with the most Facebook ‘likes’. Residents are invited to register their home displays and upload their photo’s at lightup.canfordheath@gmail.com to be part of a community map. You can now View the Map Here, so you can now view the images that have been uploaded by clicking on the map and also walk around the Heath to view in person the very best festively decorated houses. Family Christmas Trail 1st – 21st December
Collect a trail sheet from Lounge One or Cake Me Crazy Café. Follow the clues to the various shops and business’ taking part around the Heath. In their windows you will find a Christmas theme picture and question – see how many you can answer.
Return your completed sheet to Lounge One or Cake Me Crazy Café and claim your free Christmas goody bag. (Children under 12) –
